Microsoft OneDrive is a personal file hosting service that allows users to upload and sync files to the OneDrive Cloud. Microsoft has just announced that they have renamed the cloud storage service SkyDrive. The cloud-based service will later be renamed OneDrive. Microsoft also announced the name change on its new site, OneDrive.com
The Microsoft OneDrive app (formerly SkyDrive) creates folders on your computer that automatically sync. Just copy the files to your local OneDrive folder and they will automatically sync. You can create Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with OneDrive, and then share them using Hotmail. Files up to 300MB can be uploaded via a web browser or up to 2GB via the OneDrive app.
By storing data in OneDrive, you can access it from anywhere. As long as there is an internet connection, important personal or company files and documents can be obtained. With a note, there are no restrictions imposed by the IT department in requiring access from the corporate network.
This program is a cloud computing service similar to Dropbox and Google Drive that allows users to upload and sync files to a cloud storage and then access them via a Web browser or certain devices. This service is created by Microsoft and is part of the Windows Live online service and allows users to keep their files private, share them with people in contact, or make files public. Publicly shared files do not require a Microsoft account to access them.

You can also restrict the access granted to that external client or partner. The limitation can be read only, it can also give access to partners to make edits. In addition, it is also possible to arrange for links to partners to only be valid for a specified time.
