If you're an addict of minimalist, nonintrusive software, WackGet is that the transfer manager for you. Like its massive brothers, WackGet organizes multiple downloads, permits you to pause and resume transfers, and might try and resume broken ones.
WackGet integrates with Microsoft Explorer, permitting you to feature a file to the download queue by merely clicking a link. However, this feature didn't work well in our tests (for instance, it didn't method Download.com links).
On the downside, WackGet can't speed up downloads by finding reflected files and retrieving them in multiple streams--a pretty common feature nowadays--nor will it have a scheduler. Still, WackGet is free and easy and will attract users with basic transfer needs.
